1 Yo amo al SEÑORporque él escucha mi voz suplicante.

1 I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.

2 Por cuanto él inclina a mí su oído,lo invocaré toda mi vida.

2 Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.

3 Los lazos de la muerte me enredaron;me sorprendió la angustia del sepulcro,y caí en la ansiedad y la aflicción.

3 The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came over me; I was overcome by distress and sorrow.

4 Entonces clamé al SEÑOR:«¡Te ruego, SEÑOR, que me salves la vida!»

4 Then I called on the name of the LORD: “LORD, save me!”

5 El SEÑOR es compasivo y justo;nuestro Dios es todo ternura.

5 The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.

6 El SEÑOR protege a la gente sencilla;estaba yo muy débil, y él me salvó.

6 The LORD protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me.

7 ¡Ya puedes, alma mía, estar tranquila,que el SEÑOR ha sido bueno contigo!

7 Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

8 Tú, SEÑOR, me has librado de la muerte,has enjugado mis lágrimas,no me has dejado tropezar.

8 For you, LORD, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,

9 Por eso andaré siempre delante del SEÑORen esta tierra de los vivientes.

9 that I may walk before the LORDin the land of the living.

10 Aunque digo: «Me encuentro muy afligido»,sigo creyendo en Dios.

10 I trusted in the LORD when I said, “I am greatly afflicted”;

11 En mi desesperación he exclamado:«Todos son unos mentirosos».

11 in my alarm I said, “Everyone is a liar.”

12 ¿Cómo puedo pagarle al SEÑORpor tanta bondad que me ha mostrado?

12 What shall I return to the LORDfor all his goodness to me?

13 ¡Tan solo brindando con la copa de salvacióne invocando el nombre del SEÑOR!

13 I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.

14 ¡Tan solo cumpliendo mis promesas al SEÑORen presencia de todo su pueblo!

14 I will fulfill my vows to the LORDin the presence of all his people.

15 Mucho valor tiene a los ojos del SEÑORla muerte de sus fieles.

15 Precious in the sight of the LORDis the death of his faithful servants.

16 Yo, SEÑOR, soy tu siervo;soy siervo tuyo, tu hijo fiel;¡tú has roto mis cadenas!

16 Truly I am your servant, LORD; I serve you just as my mother did; you have freed me from my chains.

17 Te ofreceré un sacrificio de gratitude invocaré, SEÑOR, tu nombre.

17 I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the LORD.

18 Cumpliré mis votos al SEÑORen presencia de todo su pueblo,

18 I will fulfill my vows to the LORDin the presence of all his people,

19 en los atrios de la casa del SEÑOR,en medio de ti, oh Jerusalén.¡Aleluya! ¡Alabado sea el SEÑOR!

19 in the courts of the house of the LORD— in your midst, Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.
