In my trouble I cried to the LORD , And He answered me.
2 Libra mi alma, SEÑOR, de labios mentirosos, y de lengua engañosa.

Deliver my soul, O LORD , from lying lips, From a deceitful tongue.
3 ¿Qué se te dará, y qué se te añadirá, oh lengua engañosa?

What shall be given to you, and what more shall be done to you, You deceitful tongue?
4 Agudas flechas de guerrero, con brasas de enebro.

Sharp arrows of the warrior, With the burning coals of the broom tree.
5 ¡Ay de mí, porque soy peregrino en Mesec, y habito entre las tiendas de Cedar!

Woe is me, for I sojourn in Meshech, For I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
6 Demasiado tiempo ha morado mi alma con los que odian la paz.

Too long has my soul had its dwelling With those who hate peace.
7 Yo amo la paz, mas cuando hablo, ellos están por la guerra.

I am for peace, but when I speak, They are for war.
