1 Salmo 3<br />Salmo de David, acerca de cuando huía de su hijo Absalón.<br />Oh Señor<br />, tengo tantos enemigos;<br />son muchos los que están en mi contra.

LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!
2 Son tantos los que dicen:<br />«¡Dios no lo rescatará!».<br />Interludio

Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.”
3 Pero tú, oh Señor<br />, eres un escudo que me rodea;<br />eres mi gloria, el que sostiene mi cabeza en alto.

But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
4 Clamé al Señor<br />,<br />y él me respondió desde su monte santo.<br />Interludio

I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain.
5 Me acosté y dormí,<br />pero me desperté a salvo,<br />porque el Señor<br /> me cuidaba.

I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.
6 No tengo miedo a los diez mil enemigos<br />que me rodean por todas partes.

I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.
7 ¡Levántate, oh Señor<br />!<br />¡Rescátame, Dios mío!<br />¡Abofetea a todos mis enemigos!<br />¡Destroza los dientes de los malvados!

Arise, LORD! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.
