1 BENDECIRÉ á Jehová en todo tiempo; Su alabanza será siempre en mi boca.

I will thank the LORD at all times. My mouth will always praise him.
2 En Jehová se gloriará mi alma: Oiránlo los mansos, y se alegrarán.

My soul will boast about the LORD. Those who are oppressed will hear it and rejoice.
3 Engrandeced á Jehová conmigo, Y ensalcemos su nombre á una.

Praise the LORD's greatness with me. Let us highly honor his name together.
4 Busqué á Jehová, y él me oyó, Y libróme de todos mis temores.

I went to the LORD for help. He answered me and rescued me from all my fears.
5 A él miraron y fueron alumbrados: Y sus rostros no se avergonzaron.

All who look to him will be radiant. Their faces will never be covered with shame.
6 Este pobre clamó, y oyóle Jehová, Y librólo de todas sus angustias.

Here is a poor man who called out. The LORD heard him and saved him from all his troubles.
7 El ángel de Jehová acampa en derredor de los que le temen, Y los defiende.

The Messenger of the LORD camps around those who fear him, and he rescues them.
8 Gustad, y ved que es bueno Jehová: Dichoso el hombre que confiará en él.

Taste and see that the LORD is good. Blessed is the person who takes refuge in him.
9 Temed á Jehová, vosotros sus santos; Porque no hay falta para los que le temen.

Fear the LORD, you holy people who belong to him. Those who fear him are never in need.
10 Los leoncillos necesitaron, y tuvieron hambre; Pero los que buscan á Jehová, no tendrán falta de ningún bien.

Young lions go hungry and may starve, but those who seek the LORD's help have all the good things they need.
11 Venid, hijos, oidme; El temor de Jehová os enseñaré.

Come, children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12 ¿Quién es el hombre que desea vida, Que codicia días para ver bien?

Which of you wants a full life? Who would like to live long enough to enjoy good things?
13 Guarda tu lengua de mal, Y tus labios de hablar engaño.

Keep your tongue from saying evil things and your lips from speaking deceitful things.
14 Apártate del mal, y haz el bien; Busca la paz, y síguela.

Turn away from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it!
15 Los ojos de Jehová están sobre los justos, Y atentos sus oídos al clamor de ellos.

The LORD's eyes are on righteous people. His ears hear their cry for help.
16 La ira de Jehová contra los que mal hacen, Para cortar de la tierra la memoria de ellos.

The LORD confronts those who do evil in order to wipe out all memory of them from the earth.
17 Clamaron los justos, y Jehová oyó, Y librólos de todas sus angustias.

[Righteous people] cry out. The LORD hears and rescues them from all their troubles.
18 Cercano está Jehová á los quebrantados de corazón; Y salvará á los contritos de espíritu.

The LORD is near to those whose hearts are humble. He saves those whose spirits are crushed.
19 Muchos son los males del justo; Mas de todos ellos lo librará Jehová.

The righteous person has many troubles, but the LORD rescues him from all of them.
20 El guarda todos sus huesos; Ni uno de ellos será quebrantado.

The LORD guards all of his bones. Not one of them is broken.
21 Matará al malo la maldad; Y los que aborrecen al justo serán asolados.

Evil will kill wicked people, and those who hate righteous people will be condemned.
22 Jehová redime el alma de sus siervos; Y no serán asolados cuantos en él confían.

The LORD protects the souls of his servants. All who take refuge in him will never be condemned.
