1 Oh Dios, ¿por qué nos has rechazado para siempre? ¿Por qué se enciende tu ira contra las ovejas de tu prado?

O God, why have You rejected us forever? Why does Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture?
2 Acuérdate de tu congregación, la que adquiriste desde los tiempos antiguos, la que redimiste para que sea la tribu de tu heredad, y de este monte Sion donde has habitado.

Remember Your congregation, which You have purchased of old, Which You have redeemed to be the tribe of Your inheritance; And this Mount Zion, where You have dwelt.
3 Dirige tus pasos hacia las ruinas eternas; todo lo que hay en el santuario lo ha dañado el enemigo.

Turn Your footsteps toward the perpetual ruins; The enemy has damaged everything within the sanctuary.
4 Tus adversarios han rugido en medio de tu lugar de reunión; han puesto sus estandartes por señales.

Your adversaries have roared in the midst of Your meeting place; They have set up their own standards for signs.
5 Parece como si alguien hubiera levantado el hacha en espeso bosque.

It seems as if one had lifted up His axe in a forest of trees.
6 Y ahora, toda su obra de talla hacen pedazos con hachas y martillos.

And now all its carved work They smash with hatchet and hammers.
7 Han quemado tu santuario hasta los cimientos; han profanado la morada de tu nombre.

They have burned Your sanctuary to the ground; They have defiled the dwelling place of Your name.
8 Dijeron en su corazón: Arrasémoslos por completo. Han quemado todos los santuarios de Dios en la tierra.

They said in their heart, "Let us completely subdue them." They have burned all the meeting places of God in the land.
9 No vemos nuestras señales; ya no queda profeta, ni hay entre nosotros quien sepa hasta cuándo.

We do not see our signs; There is no longer any prophet, Nor is there any among us who knows how long.
10 ¿Hasta cuándo, oh Dios, blasfemará el adversario? ¿Despreciará el enemigo tu nombre para siempre?

How long , O God, will the adversary revile, And the enemy spurn Your name forever?
11 ¿Por qué retiras tu mano, tu diestra? ¡Sácala de dentro de tu seno, destrúyelos!

Why do You withdraw Your hand, even Your right hand? From within Your bosom, destroy them!
12 Con todo, Dios es mi rey desde la antiguedad, el que hace obras de salvación en medio de la tierra.

Yet God is my king from of old, Who works deeds of deliverance in the midst of the earth.
13 Tú dividiste el mar con tu poder; quebraste las cabezas de los monstruos en las aguas.

You divided the sea by Your strength; You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.
14 Tú aplastaste las cabezas de Leviatán; lo diste por comida a los moradores del desierto.

You crushed the heads of Leviathan; You gave him as food for the creatures of the wilderness.
15 Tú abriste fuentes y torrentes; tú secaste ríos inagotables.

You broke open springs and torrents; You dried up ever-flowing streams.
16 Tuyo es el día, tuya es también la noche; tú has preparado la lumbrera y el sol.

Yours is the day, Yours also is the night; You have prepared the light and the sun.
17 Tú has establecido todos los términos de la tierra; tú has hecho el verano y el invierno.

You have established all the boundaries of the earth; You have made summer and winter.
18 Acuérdate de esto, SEÑOR: que el enemigo ha blasfemado, y que un pueblo insensato ha despreciado tu nombre.

Remember this, O LORD , that the enemy has reviled, And a foolish people has spurned Your name.
19 El alma de tu tórtola no entregues a la fiera; no olvides para siempre la vida de tus afligidos.

Do not deliver the soul of Your turtledove to the wild beast; Do not forget the life of Your afflicted forever.
20 Mira el pacto, SEÑOR, porque los lugares tenebrosos de la tierra están llenos de moradas de violencia.

Consider the covenant; For the dark places of the land are full of the habitations of violence.
21 No vuelva avergonzado el oprimido; alaben tu nombre el afligido y el necesitado.

Let not the oppressed return dishonored; Let the afflicted and needy praise Your name.
22 Levántate, oh Dios, defiende tu causa; acuérdate de cómo el necio te injuria todo el día.

Arise, O God, and plead Your own cause; Remember how the foolish man reproaches You all day long.
23 No te olvides del vocerío de tus adversarios, del tumulto de los que se levantan contra ti, que sube continuamente. destruyas. Salmo de Asaf. Cántico.

Do not forget the voice of Your adversaries, The uproar of those who rise against You which ascends continually.
