Listen to Psalm 77:14-20
14 隆Eres el Dios de grandes maravillas!
Demuestras tu asombroso poder entre las naciones.
15 Con tu fuerte brazo, redimiste a tu pueblo,
los descendientes de Jacob y de Jos茅.
Interludio
16 Cuando el mar Rojo te vio,
oh Dios,
sus aguas miraron y temblaron;
el mar se estremeci贸 hasta las profundidades.
17 Las nubes derramaron lluvia;
el trueno retumb贸 en el cielo;
tus flechas destellaron como rayos.
18 Tu trueno rugi贸 desde el torbellino;
隆los rel谩mpagos iluminaron el mundo!
La tierra tembl贸 y se estremeci贸.
19 Te abriste camino a trav茅s del mar
y tu sendero atraves贸 las poderosas aguas,
隆una senda que nadie sab铆a que estaba all铆!
20 Guiaste a tu pueblo por ese camino como a un reba帽o de ovejas,
con Mois茅s y Aar贸n de pastores.

Psalm 77:14-20 Meaning and Commentary

To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of Asaph. Jeduthun was the name of the chief musician, to whom this psalm was inscribed and sent; see 1 Chronicles 25:1, though Aben Ezra takes it to be the first word of some song, to the tune of which this was sung; and the Midrash interprets it of the subject of the psalm, which is followed by Jarchi, who explains it thus, "concerning the decrees and judgments which passed upon Israel;" that is, in the time of their present captivity, to which, as he, Kimchi, and Arama think, the whole psalm belongs. Some interpreters refer it to the affliction of the Jews in Babylon, so Theodoret; or under Ahasuerus, or Antiochus; and others to the great and last distress of the church under antichrist; though it seems to express the particular case of the psalmist, and which is common to other saints.
