A person being interviewed on the radio said, "Even in the Bible it says, 'God helps those who help themselves.'" It may be true, but it's not in the Bible. A preacher reported he once said the Bible does not say, "God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform. He plants his footsteps on the sea and rides upon the storm." A lady said afterward he was wrong; she had read it herself in the Bible, and she would bring him the reference. He's still waiting.
