Easter Island lies in the Pacific Ocean 2,300 miles off the coast of Chile and is the eastern most island in Polynesia. It is famous for its large, strange looking prehistoric statues carved by an unknown people for an unknown purpose. Easter itself is an island, an island of reassurance in a sea of uncertainty and doubt. We know precisely who makes Easter possible, as well as how and why.
