Many years ago, the Los Angeles Times carried the story of Anna Mae Pennica. She had been blind from birth due to congenital cataracts. Dr. Thomas Pettit removed her cataracts and corrected her vision to 20/30. The doctor said the techniques were available 40 years before. Think of it. For 40 years, she walked in darkness when all along she could have had her sight.
