The God of Small Things is the title of a novel set in India by Arundhati Roy. Even if one has not read the book, the title is intriguing. We often speak of the great things God has done, and we should. However, for many of us, life turns on very small hinges; and it is good to know the Almighty who is the Lord of hosts is also the God of small things. We see that clearly at Thanksgiving and Christmas, and it reassures us that God will help us solve small problems, carry small burdens, will grant us small blessings and bless us with small miracles.
