2 Kings 10:27

And they broke down the temple of Baal
Which some take to be Belus, others Saturn, others the sun, which seems most probable:

and broke down the house of Baal;
his temple, demolished it:

and made it a draught house until this day;
a common sewer, a jakes; a fit place for dunghill gods to be thrown into, and an idol temple to be turned into.

25 E, come fu finita l’offerta dell’olocausto, Jehu disse ai soldati e ai capitani: "Entrate, uccideteli, e che non ne esca uno!" Ed essi li passarono a fil di spada; poi, soldati e capitani ne buttaron là i cadaveri, e penetrarono nell’edifizio del tempio di Baal;
26 portaron fuori le statue del tempio di Baal, e le bruciarono;
27 mandarono in frantumi la statua di Baal; e demolirono il tempio di Baal, e lo ridussero in un mondezzaio che sussiste anche oggidì.
28 Così Jehu estirpò Baal da Israele;
29 nondimeno egli non si ritrasse dai peccati coi quali Geroboamo, figliuolo di Nebat, aveva fatto peccare Israele; non abbandonò cioè i vitelli d’oro ch’erano a Bethel e a Dan.
