Acts 13:37

But he whom God raised again
The Vulgate Latin version adds, "from the dead"; meaning the Lord Jesus Christ, who was raised from the dead by God the Father: and

saw no corruption;
he did not lie so long in the grave as to corrupt and putrefy, but was raised from the dead the third day; wherefore the passage, before cited, is very applicable to him, and is a clear proof that the Messiah was to rise from the dead, as Jesus did.

35 Difatti egli dice anche in un altro luogo: Tu non permetterai che il tuo Santo vegga la corruzione.

36 Poiché Davide, dopo aver servito al consiglio di Dio nella sua generazione, si è addormentato, ed è stato riunito coi suoi padri, e ha veduto la corruzione;

37 ma colui che Dio ha risuscitato, non ha veduto la corruzione.

38 Siavi dunque noto, fratelli, che per mezzo di lui v’è annunziata la remissione dei peccati;

39 e per mezzo di lui, chiunque crede è giustificato di tutte le cose, delle quali voi non avete potuto esser giustificati per la legge di Mosè.
