33 E l’Eterno, l’Iddio nostro, ce lo diè nelle mani, e noi ponemmo in rotta lui, i suoi figliuoli e tutta la sua gente.

Deuteronomy 2:33

And the Lord our God delivered him before us
With their lands:

and we smote him and his sons, and all his people;
with the edge of the sword; slew them all: the Cetib or textual reading is "his son", though the Keri or margin is "his sons", which we follow. So Jarchi observes, it is written "his son", because he had a son mighty as himself, he says.

31 E l’Eterno mi disse: "Vedi, ho principiato a dare in tuo potere Sihon e il suo paese; comincia la conquista, impadronendoti dei suo paese".

32 Allora Sihon uscì contro a noi con tutta la sua gente, per darci battaglia a Iahats.

33 E l’Eterno, l’Iddio nostro, ce lo diè nelle mani, e noi ponemmo in rotta lui, i suoi figliuoli e tutta la sua gente.

34 E in quel tempo prendemmo tutte le sue città e votammo allo sterminio ogni città, uomini, donne, bambini; non vi lasciammo anima viva.

35 Ma riserbammo come nostra preda il bestiame e le spoglie delle città che avevamo prese.
