20 L’anno undicesimo, il primo mese, il settimo giorno del mese, la parola dell’Eterno mi fu rivolta in questi termini:

Ezekiel 30:20

And it came to pass in the eleventh year
Of Zedekiah's reign, and Jehoiachin's captivity; some little time after the prophecy in ( Ezekiel 19:1 ) , here the prophecies come into their order again, being interrupted by those of a much later date, at the end of the preceding chapter, and the former part of this: in the first month, in the seventh day of the month;
the month Nisan, which answers to part of March, and part of April; the seventh day must be about the twenty ninth of March; but, according to Bishop Usher F13, it was on the twenty sixth of April, on the third day of the week (Tuesday), in 3416 A.M. or before Christ 588: this was given out three months and two days before Jerusalem was taken: that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying;

18 E a Tahpanes il giorno s’oscurerà, quand’io spezzerò quivi i gioghi imposti dall’Egitto; e l’orgoglio della sua forza avrà fine. Quanto a lei, una nuvola la coprirà, e le sue figliuole andranno in cattività.
19 Così eserciterò i miei giudizi sull’Egitto, e si conoscerà che io sono l’Eterno".

21 "Figliuol d’uomo, io ho spezzato il braccio di Faraone, re d’Egitto; ed ecco, il suo braccio non è stato fasciato applicandovi rimedi e mettendovi delle bende per fasciarlo e fortificarlo, in guisa da poter maneggiare una spada.
22 Perciò, così parla il Signore, l’Eterno: Eccomi contro Faraone, re d’Egitto, per spezzargli le braccia, tanto quello ch’è ancora forte, quanto quello ch’è già spezzato; farò cader di mano la spada.
