Geremia 11:3 Meaning and Commentary

Jeremiah 11:3

And say thou unto them
This shows that the command of publishing the law or covenant was, however, principally given to Jeremiah: thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel;
that made them, and brought them out of Egypt, and made a covenant with them, and had taken care of them, and had bestowed many favours upon them: cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant;
which the prophet, it may be, had in his hands, even the book of the law, and held it forth unto them, while he was speaking; the language of which is, cursed is everyone that does not constantly and perfectly perform what is contained in it, ( Deuteronomy 27:26 ) .

2 "Ascoltate le parole di questo patto, e parlate agli uomini di Giuda e agli abitanti di Gerusalemme!
3 Di’ loro: Così parla l’Eterno, l’Iddio d’Israele: Maledetto l’uomo che non ascolta le parole di questo patto,
4 che io comandai ai vostri padri il giorno che li feci uscire dal paese d’Egitto, dalla fornace di ferro, dicendo: Ascoltate la mia voce e fate tutto quello che vi comanderò, e voi sarete mio popolo e io sarò vostro Dio,
5 affinché io possa mantenere il giuramento che feci ai vostri padri, di dar loro un paese dove scorre il latte e il miele, come oggi vedete ch’esso è". Allora io risposi: "Amen, o Eterno!"
