Mark 8:4

And his disciples answered him
The Syriac version renders it, "say unto him"; and the Persic and Ethiopic, "said unto him"; forgetting the late miracle of feeding five thousand with five loaves and two fishes, when they had now a less number, and more provisions:

from whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the
wilderness?
from what place, and by what ways and means can it be thought, that such a quantity of bread can be got at any rate in a desert, as to satisfy so large a number of hungry men? (See Gill on Matthew 15:33).

2 Io ho pietà di questa moltitudine; poiché già da tre giorni sta con me e non ha da mangiare.
3 E se li rimando a casa digiuni, verranno meno per via; e ve n’hanno alcuni che son venuti da lontano.
4 E i suoi discepoli gli risposero: Come si potrebbe mai saziarli di pane qui, in un deserto?
5 Ed egli domandò loro: Quanti pani avete? Essi dissero: Sette.
6 Ed egli ordinò alla folla di accomodarsi per terra; e prese i sette pani, dopo aver rese grazie, li spezzò e diede ai discepoli perché li ponessero dinanzi alla folla; ed essi li posero.
