Romans 5:6

6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

Romans 5:6 in Other Translations

KJV
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
ESV
6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
NLT
6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.
MSG
6 Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn't, and doesn't, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn't been so weak, we wouldn't have known what to do anyway.
CSB
6 For while we were still helpless, at the appointed moment, Christ died for the ungodly.

Romans 5:6 In-Context

4 perseverance, character; and character, hope.
5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.
8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
