2The LORD said to him, "What is that in your hand?" He said, "A rod."3And he said, "Cast it on the ground." So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it.4But the LORD said to Moses, "Put out your hand, and take it by the tail" --so he put out his hand and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand--
13So Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day and all that night; and when it was morning the east wind had brought the locusts.
9And Moses said to Joshua, "Choose for us men, and go out, fight with Am'alek; tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand."10So Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought with Am'alek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.11Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; and whenever he lowered his hand, Am'alek prevailed.
