16 Hizo tambi茅n el rey Salom贸n doscientos paveses de oro extendido: seiscientos siclos de oro gast贸 en cada pav茅s.

1 Kings 10:16

And King Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold,
&c.] Which were a larger sort of shields, which covered the whole body; and these were made of gold beaten with the hammer, or drawn into plates, being melted like wax; so the Poeni or Carthaginians made shields of gold F13:

six hundred shekels of gold went to one target;
which is to be understood not of the weight, but of the price or value of them, which amounted to four hundred and fifty pounds of our money; so Brerewood F14.

15 Sin lo de los mercaderes, y de la contrataci贸n de especias, y de todos los reyes de Arabia, y de los principales de la tierra.

17 Asimismo trescientos escudos de oro extendido, en cada uno de los cuales gast贸 tres libras de oro: y p煤solos el rey en la casa del bosque del L铆bano.
18 Hizo tambi茅n el rey un gran trono de marfil, el cual cubri贸 de oro pur铆simo.
