Judges 3:11

And the land had rest forty years
As it should seem from the time of this deliverance; though, according to Ben Gersom and Abarbinel, the eight years' servitude are to be included in them; and Bishop Usher F18 reckons these forty years from the rest first settled in the land by Joshua; but the former sense seems best:

and Othniel the son of Kenaz died:
not at the end of the forty years; it is not likely he should live so long, but when he died is not certain; Eusebius F19 says he judged Israel fifty years.

10 Y el esp铆ritu de Jehov谩 fu茅 sobre 茅l, y juzg贸 谩 Israel, y sali贸 谩 batalla, y Jehov谩 entreg贸 en su mano 谩 Chusan-risathaim, rey de Siria, y prevaleci贸 su mano contra Chusan-risathaim.
11 Y repos贸 la tierra cuarenta a帽os; y muri贸 Othoniel, hijo de Cenez.
12 Y tornaron los hijos de Israel 谩 hacer lo malo ante los ojos de Jehov谩; y Jehov谩 esforz贸 谩 Egl贸n rey de Moab contra Israel, por cuanto hab铆an hecho lo malo ante los ojos de Jehov谩.
13 Y Junt贸 consigo 谩 los hijos de Amm贸n y de Amalec, y fu茅, 茅 hiri贸 谩 Israel, y tom贸 la ciudad de las palmas.
