17 Despu茅s de estas cosas aconteci贸 que cay贸 enfermo el hijo de la se帽ora de la casa, y la enfermedad fue tan grave, que no qued贸 en 茅l aliento.

1 Kings 17:17

And it came to pass after these things
Not only after the conversation that passed between the prophet, and the widow, but after they had lived together many days, a year or years, upon the miraculous provision made for them:

that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick;
that is, the son of the widow woman in whose house the prophet dwelt; the Jews say F8 this woman was the mother of Jonah, and that he was this son of her's:

and his sickness was so sore that there was no breath left in him:
it was a sickness unto death, it issued in it; for that he was really dead appears from all that follows.

18 Y ella dijo a El铆as: 驴Qu茅 tengo yo contigo, var贸n de Dios? 驴Has venido a m铆 para traer en memoria mis iniquidades, y para hacerme morir mi hijo?
19 Y 茅l le dijo: Dame ac谩 tu hijo. Entonces 茅l lo tom贸 de su regazo, y lo llev贸 a la c谩mara donde 茅l estaba, y lo puso sobre su cama;
