6 Y los sacerdotes metieron el arca del pacto del SEÑOR en su lugar, en el oratorio de la Casa, en el lugar santísimo, debajo de las alas de los querubines.

1 Kings 8:6

And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord
unto his place
Destined for it, the like to which it had in the tabernacle:

into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place;
that part of the house where the divine oracle was, the holy of holies; for though into it none but the high priest might enter, and he but once a year; yet in case of necessity, as for the repair of it, which the Jews ^F19 gather from hence, other priests might enter, as was the case now; an high priest could not carry in the ark himself, and therefore it was necessary to employ others; and besides, as yet the divine Majesty had not taken up his residence in it:

even under the wings of the cherubim;
the large ones which Solomon had made, ( 1 Kings 6:23 ) not those of Moses.

4 Y llevaron el arca del SEÑOR, y el tabernáculo del testimonio, y todos los vasos sagrados que estaban en el tabernáculo; los cuales llevaban los sacerdotes y levitas.

5 Y el rey Salomón, y toda la congregación de Israel que a él se había juntado, estaban con él delante del arca, sacrificando ovejas y bueyes, que por la multitud no se podían contar ni numerar.

6 Y los sacerdotes metieron el arca del pacto del SEÑOR en su lugar, en el oratorio de la Casa, en el lugar santísimo, debajo de las alas de los querubines.

7 Porque los querubines tenían extendidas las alas sobre el lugar del arca, y así cubrían los querubines el arca y sus varas por encima.

8 E hicieron salir las varas; que las cabezas de las varas se dejaban ver desde el santuario que estaba delante del oratorio, mas no se veían desde afuera; y así se quedaron hasta hoy.
