2 Crónicas 11:13-23

13 Y los sacerdotes y levitas que estaban en todo Israel, se juntaron a él de todos sus términos.

14 Porque los levitas dejaban sus ejidos y sus posesiones, y se venían a Judá y a Jerusalén; pues Jeroboam y sus hijos los echaban del ministerio del SEÑOR.

15 Y él se hizo sacerdotes para los altos, y para los demonios, y para los becerros que él había hecho.

16 Tras aquéllos acudieron también de todas las tribus de Israel los que habían puesto su corazón en buscar al SEÑOR Dios de Israel; y vinieron a Jerusalén para sacrificar al SEÑOR, el Dios de sus padres.

17 Así fortificaron el reino de Judá, y confirmaron a Roboam hijo de Salomón por tres años, porque tres años anduvieron en el camino de David, y de Salomón.

18 Y tomó Roboam por mujer a Mahalat, hija de Jerimot hijo de David, y a Abihail, hija de Eliab hijo de Isaí.

19 La cual le dio a luz hijos: a Jeús, y a Samarías, y a Zaham.

20 Después de ella tomó a Maaca hija de Absalón, la cual le dio a luz a Abías, a Atai, Ziza, y Selomit.

21 Mas Roboam amó a Maaca hija de Absalón sobre todas sus mujeres y concubinas; porque tomó dieciocho mujeres y sesenta concubinas, y engendró veintiocho hijos y sesenta hijas.

22 Y puso Roboam a Abías hijo de Maaca por cabeza y príncipe de sus hermanos, porque quería hacerle rey.

23 Y le hizo instruir, y esparció todos sus hijos por todas las tierras de Judá y de Benjamín, y por todas las ciudades fuertes, y les dio provisiones en abundancia, y fue dado a muchas mujeres.

In this chapter are related the preparations Rehoboam made to regain the ten tribes that revolted from him, but was forbid making the attempt by a prophet of the Lord, which he paid a regard unto, 2Ch 11:1-4, the fortification of several cities in Judah and Benjamin for his defence, 2Ch 11:5-12, the resort of several priests and Levites to him from Jeroboam, which served to strengthen his kingdom, 2Ch 11:13-17, and an account of his wives, and of his children, and of his disposal of them, 2Ch 11:18-23.
