7 Entonces Acaz envi贸 embajadores a Tiglat-pileser rey de Asiria, diciendo: Yo soy tu siervo y tu hijo; sube, y defi茅ndeme de mano del rey de Siria, y de mano del rey de Israel, que se han levantado contra m铆.

2 Kings 16:7

So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglathpileser king of Assyria,
&c.] Of whom see ( 2 Kings 15:29 ) saying, [I am] thy servant, and thy son;
signifying, that he would be his vassal, and become tributary to him, and serve him as a servant to his master, or a son his father, on condition he would come to his assistance, and so he became his servant; hence his son Hezekiah is said to rebel against the king of Assyria, ( 2 Kings 18:1 2 Kings 18:7 ) come up and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of
the hand of the king off Israel, which rise up against me;
which assistance he had no reason to call in, since the Lord had promised him deliverance from both those kings, and gave him a sign of it, ( Isaiah 7:4-16 ) .

5 Entonces Rez铆n rey de Siria, y Peka hijo de Remal铆as rey de Israel, subieron a Jerusal茅n para hacer guerra, y cercar a Acaz; mas no pudieron tomarla.
6 En aquel tiempo Rez铆n rey de Siria restituy贸 Elat a Siria, y ech贸 a los Jud铆os de Elat; y los Siros vinieron a Elat, y habitaron all铆 hasta hoy.
7 Entonces Acaz envi贸 embajadores a Tiglat-pileser rey de Asiria, diciendo: Yo soy tu siervo y tu hijo; sube, y defi茅ndeme de mano del rey de Siria, y de mano del rey de Israel, que se han levantado contra m铆.
8 Y tomando Acaz la plata y el oro que se hall贸 en la Casa del SE脩OR, y en los tesoros de la casa real, envi贸 al rey de Asiria un presente.
9 Y le oy贸 el rey de Asiria; y subi贸 el rey de Asiria contra Damasco, y la tom贸, y trasport贸 los moradores a Cirene, y mat贸 a Rez铆n.
