9 Viniendo luego Safán escriba al rey, dio al rey la respuesta, y dijo: Tus siervos han juntado el dinero que se halló en el templo, y lo han entregado en poder de los que hacen la obra, que tienen cargo de la Casa del SEÑOR.

2 Kings 22:9

And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king
word again
Of the delivery of his message to the high priest, and of what had been done upon it:

and said, thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the
house;
meaning Hilkiah and himself, who had examined the chest in the temple, into which the money was put for the repairs of it, and had taken it out, and told it:

and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have
the oversight of the house of the Lord;
according to the king's orders.

7 y que no se les cuente el dinero cuyo manejo se les confiare, porque ellos proceden con fidelidad.

8 Entonces dijo el sumo sacerdote Hilcías a Safán escriba: El libro de la ley he hallado en la Casa del SEÑOR. E Hilcías dio el libro a Safán para que lo leyese.

9 Viniendo luego Safán escriba al rey, dio al rey la respuesta, y dijo: Tus siervos han juntado el dinero que se halló en el templo, y lo han entregado en poder de los que hacen la obra, que tienen cargo de la Casa del SEÑOR.

10 Asimismo Safán escriba declaró al rey, diciendo: Hilcías el sacerdote me ha dado un libro. Y lo leyó Safán delante del rey.

11 Y cuando el rey oyó las palabras del libro de la ley, rasgó sus vestidos.
