26 Con todo eso el SEÑOR no se volvió del furor de su grande ira, con que se había encendido su ira contra Judá, por todas las provocaciones con que Manasés le había provocado a ira.

2 Kings 23:26

Notwithstanding, the Lord turned not from the fierceness of
his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah
Notwithstanding the great reformation wrought among them; for though Josiah was a sincere reformer, and did what he did heartily, as to the Lord, according to his will, and for his glory; yet the people were not sincere in their compliance, they turned to the Lord not with their whole heart, but feignedly, ( Jeremiah 3:10 )

because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal;
by shedding innocent blood and committing idolatry, which the people consented to and approved of, and even now privately committed idolatry, as the prophecies of Jeremiah and Zephaniah show; and it may easily be concluded that their hearts were after their idols, by their openly returning to them in the days of the sons of Josiah.

24 Asimismo barrió Josías los pitones, adivinos, y terafines, y todas las abominaciones que se veían en la tierra de Judá y en Jerusalén, para confirmar las palabras de la ley que estaban escritas en el libro que el sacerdote Hilcías había hallado en la Casa del SEÑOR.

25 No hubo tal rey antes de él que así se convirtiese al SEÑOR de todo su corazón, y de toda su alma, y de todas su fuerzas, conforme a toda la ley de Moisés; ni después de él nació otro tal.

26 Con todo eso el SEÑOR no se volvió del furor de su grande ira, con que se había encendido su ira contra Judá, por todas las provocaciones con que Manasés le había provocado a ira.

27 Y dijo el SEÑOR: También tengo que quitar de mi presencia a Judá, como quité a Israel, y tengo que abominar a esta ciudad que había escogido, a Jerusalén, y a la Casa de la cual yo había dicho: Mi nombre será allí.

28 Lo demás de los hechos de Josías, y todas las cosas que hizo, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
