And charged the messenger
Gave him a particular direction and instruction what he should say at the close of his narrative, according as he should observe the king's countenance to be:

saying, when thou hast made an end of telling the matters of the war
unto the king;
giving an account of all the events that happened since the siege was begun to that time.

19 Y mandó al mensajero, diciendo: Cuando acabares de contar al rey todos los negocios de la guerra,

20 si el rey comenzare a enojarse, y te dijere: ¿Por qué os acercasteis a la ciudad peleando? ¿No sabíais lo que suelen arrojar del muro?

21 ¿Quién hirió a Abimelec hijo de Jerobaal? ¿No echó una mujer del muro un pedazo de una rueda de molino, y murió en Tebes? ¿Por qué os llegasteis al muro? Entonces tú le dirás: También tu siervo Urías heteo es muerto.
