2 Samuel 16:9

Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king
A sister's son of his, and a general in the army, who could not bear to hear the king abused in this manner:

why should this dead dog curse my lord the king?
be suffered to do it with impunity; a "dog" he calls him, because of his vileness and baseness, and because of his impudence, and on account of his reproachful and abusive language, aptly signified by the snarling and barking of a dog; and a "dead" dog, as being useless, detestable, and abominable:

let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head;
go over the plain where David and his men were, to the hill on which Shimei was, and strike off his head with his sword; which he could easily do, and soon put an end to his cursing.

7 Y decía Semei, maldiciéndole: Sal, sal, varón de sangres, y hombre de Belial;

8 el SEÑOR te ha dado el pago de toda la sangre de la casa de Saúl, en lugar del cual tú has reinado; mas el SEÑOR ha entregado el reino en mano de tu hijo Absalón; y he aquí tu eres tomado en tu maldad, porque eres varón de sangre.

9 Entonces Abisai hijo de Sarvia, dijo al rey: ¿Por qué maldice este perro muerto a mi señor el rey? Yo te ruego que me dejes pasar, y le quitaré la cabeza.

10 Y el rey respondió: ¿Qué tengo yo con vosotros, hijos de Sarvia? El maldice así, porque el SEÑOR le ha dicho que maldiga a David; ¿quién pues le dirá: Por qué lo haces así?

11 Y dijo David a Abisai y a todos sus siervos: He aquí, mi hijo que ha salido de mis entrañas, acecha a mi vida; ¿cuánto más ahora un hijo de Jemini? Dejadle que maldiga, que el SEÑOR se lo ha dicho.
