18 Pero fueron vistos por un joven, el cual lo dijo a Absalón; sin embargo los dos se dieron prisa a caminar, y llegaron a casa de un hombre en Bahurim, que tenía un pozo en su patio, dentro del cual ellos descendieron.

2 Samuel 17:18

Nevertheless, a lad saw them, and told Absalom
Saw them conversing with the girl, and departing for David's army; according to Josephus ^F15, they were some horsemen that saw them about two furlongs or a quarter mile from Jerusalem, and acquainted Absalom with it:

but they went both of them away quickly;
made all the haste they could with their message to David:

and came to a man's house in Bahurim;
where very probably they had been informed David had been, whither he came weary, and had refreshment, ( 2 Samuel 16:14 ) ; or rather, perceiving they were discovered and pursued, they turned in hither, the first place they came to, for safety:

which had a well in his court;
which they observed, and was the reason of their turning in:

whither they went down;
to hide themselves from their pursuers, it being dry, as sometimes wells were in the summertime: Josephus says {p}, a woman let them down by a rope.

16 Por tanto enviad inmediatamente, y dad aviso a David, diciendo: No quedes esta noche en los llanos del desierto, sino pasa luego el Jordán , para que el rey no sea consumido, y todo el pueblo que con él está.

17 Y Jonatán y Ahimaas estaban junto a la fuente de Rogel, porque no podían ellos mostrarse viniendo a la ciudad; y fue allá una criada, la cual les dio el aviso; y ellos fueron, y dieron aviso al rey David.

18 Pero fueron vistos por un joven, el cual lo dijo a Absalón; sin embargo los dos se dieron prisa a caminar, y llegaron a casa de un hombre en Bahurim, que tenía un pozo en su patio, dentro del cual ellos descendieron.

19 Y tomando la mujer de la casa una manta, la extendió sobre la boca del pozo, y tendió sobre ella del trigo majado, para que el negocio no fuese entendido.

20 Llegando luego los criados de Absalón a la casa a la mujer, le dijeron: ¿Dónde están Ahimaas y Jonatán? Y la mujer les respondió: Ya han pasado el vado de las aguas. Y como ellos los buscaron y no los hallaron volvieron a Jerusalén.
