Acts 8:11

To him they had regard
Which is repeated from the foregoing verse, for the sake of what follows:

because that of a long time he had bewitched them with sorceries;
or because he had, it may be for many years, astonished them with his magic arts, and the pranks he played in the use of them.

9 Y había un hombre llamado Simón, el cual antes ejercía la magia en aquella ciudad, y había asombrado la gente de Samaria, diciéndose ser algún grande;

10 al cual oían todos atentamente, desde el más pequeño hasta el más grande, diciendo: Esta es la gran virtud de Dios.

11 Y le estaban atentos, porque con sus artes mágicas los había asombrado mucho tiempo.

12 Pero cuando creyeron a Felipe, que les anunciaba el Evangelio del Reino de Dios y el Nombre de Jesús el Cristo, se bautizaban hombres y mujeres.

13 El mismo Simón creyó también entonces, y bautizándose, se llegó a Felipe; y viendo los milagros y grandes maravillas que se hacían, estaba atónito.
