And there arose certain
Two false witnesses, as in ( Matthew 26:60 ) , who stood up in court; for witnesses were obliged to stand, whilst they gave in their testimony:

``says R. Bo, in the name of R. Hona, witnesses ought (dwmel) , "to stand", whilst they bear witness; as it is said, ( Deuteronomy 19:17 ) . "Both the men shall stand" ^F13''

And bare false witness against him, saying;
as follows.

57 Entonces levantándose unos, dieron falso testimonio contra él, diciendo:

58 Nosotros le hemos oído decir: Yo derribaré este Templo, que es hecho de manos, y en tres días edificaré otro hecho sin manos.

59 Mas ni aun así se concertaba el testimonio de ellos.
