Numbers 20:2

And there was no water for the congregation
Which was so ordered, for the trial of this new generation, to see whether they would behave any better than their fathers had done in a like circumstance, the first year they came out of Egypt, ( Exodus 17:1-8 )

and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron;
just as their fathers had done before them, being of the like temper and disposition.

1 Y llegaron los hijos de Israel, toda la congregación, al desierto de Zin, en el mes primero, y reposó el pueblo en Cades; y allí murió María, y allí fue sepultada.

2 Y no hubo agua para la congregación, se juntaron contra Moisés y Aarón.

3 Y riñó el pueblo con Moisés, y hablaron diciendo: ¡Mejor que nosotros hubiéramos muerto cuando perecieron nuestros hermanos delante del SEÑOR!

4 Y ¿por qué hiciste venir la congregación del SEÑOR a este desierto, para que muramos aquí nosotros y nuestras bestias?

5 ¿Y por qué nos has hecho venir de Egipto, a este mal lugar? No es lugar de sementera, de higueras, de viñas, ni granadas; ni aun hay agua para beber.
