John 9:14

And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay
Which was reckoned a violation of the sabbath, ( John 9:16 ) , and was one reason why they had the man to the Pharisees to be examined, and why they were desirous of knowing where Jesus was:

and opened his eyes;
by putting on the clay, and sending him to wash in the Pool of Siloam: nor did the miracle, nor the good done to the man, excuse with them, what they thought a breach of the sabbath.

12 Then they said unto him, "Where is he?" He said, "I know not."

13 They brought to the Pharisees him that beforehand was blind.

14 And it was the Sabbath day when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes.

15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, "He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed and do see."

16 Therefore some of the Pharisees said, "This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the Sabbath day." Others said, "How can a man who is a sinner do such miracles?" And there was a division among them.
