Exodus 7:23 Meaning and Commentary

Exodus 7:23

And Pharaoh turned, and went into his house
Turned away from Moses and Aaron, and turned back from the river to which he came, and went to his palace in the city; it being perhaps now about dinner time, when all before related had passed:

neither did he set his heart to this also:
had no regard to this miracle of turning the waters into blood, as well as he had none to the rod being turned into a serpent, and devouring the rods of the magicians; he neither considered the one nor the other, or seriously and closely thought of this, any more than of the other.

Exodus 7:23 In-Context

21 The fish that were in the river died; and the river became foul, and the Egyptians couldn't drink water from the river; and the blood was throughout all the land of Egypt.
22 The magicians of Egypt did in like manner with their enchantments; and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he didn't listen to them; as Yahweh had spoken.
23 Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he lay even this to heart.
24 All the Egyptians dug round about the river for water to drink; for they couldn't drink of the water of the river.
25 Seven days were fulfilled, after Yahweh had struck the river.
