17 En el a帽o treinta y nueve de Azar铆as, rey de Jud谩, Manahem, hijo de Gadi, comenz贸 a reinar sobre Israel; y rein贸 diez a帽os en Samaria.
18 E hizo lo malo ante los ojos del SE脩OR; todos sus d铆as no se apart贸 de los pecados con que Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, hizo pecar a Israel.
19 Pul, rey de Asiria, vino contra el pa铆s, y Manahem dio a Pul mil talentos de plata para que su mano estuviera con 茅l para fortalecer el reino bajo su mando.
20 Entonces Manahem exigi贸 el dinero a Israel, a todos los ricos poderosos, de cada uno cincuenta siclos de plata para pagar al rey de Asiria. Y el rey de Asiria se volvi贸 y no se detuvo all铆 en el pa铆s.
21 Los dem谩s hechos de Manahem y todo lo que hizo, 驴no est谩n escritos en el libro de las Cr贸nicas de los reyes de Israel?
22 Y durmi贸 Manahem con sus padres, y su hijo Peka铆a rein贸 en su lugar.

INTRODUCTION TO 2 KINGS 15

This chapter begins with the reign of Azariah king of Judah, 2Ki 15:1-7, and then gives a short account of the several kings of Israel, to the last of them; of Zachariah, 2Ki 15:8-12, of Shallum, 2Ki 15:13,14,15 of Menahem, 2Ki 15:16-22 of Pekahiah, 2Ki 15:23-26, of Pekah, succeeded by Hoshea, the last of them, 2Ki 15:27-31, and is included with the reign of Jotham king of Judah, 2Ki 15:32-38.
