Surely you place them on slippery ground;1 you cast them down to ruin.219
How suddenly3 are they destroyed, completely swept away4 by terrors!

As a dream5 when one awakes,6 so when you arise, O Lord, you will despise them as fantasies.721

My flesh and my heart15 may fail,16 but God is the strength17 of my heart and my portion18 forever.

Those who are far from you will perish;19 you destroy all who are unfaithful20 to you.

But as for me, it is good to be near God.21 I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge;22 I will tell of all your deeds.23
