15 John 1testified about Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, '2He who comes after me [a]has a higher rank than I, 3for He existed before me.' "
16 For of His 4fullness [b]we have all received, and [c]grace upon grace.
17 For 5the Law was given through Moses; 6grace and 7truth [d]were realized through Jesus Christ.
18 8No one has seen God at any time; 9the only begotten God who is 10in the bosom of the Father, 11He has explained Him.
