To see the voice (blepein thn pwnhn). The voice put for the person speaking. Having turned (epistrepsa). First aorist active participle of epistrepw, from which also epestrepsa, just before, for which verb see Acts 15:36 ; Acts 16:18 . Seven golden candlesticks (epta lucnia crusa). See Matthew 5:15 for lucnia (lampstand). Symbols of the seven churches as explained in verse Revelation 1:20 . See Exodus 25:35 for description of a seven-branched candlestick, but here the lampstands are separate.
