Lìdaìzhìxià 30:19 Meaning and Commentary

2 Chronicles 30:19

That prepareth his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his
fathers
Who was heartily desirous of worshipping God, and observing his ordinances, which had been enjoined their fathers, and they had kept; though Aben Ezra, as Kimchi observes, refers this to Hezekiah,

whose whole heart he directed, or prepared to seek the Lord
by prayer and supplication for everyone of the said persons:

though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the
sanctuary:
according to the ceremonial law, which the service of the temple required; since, though they were attended with a ceremonial impurity, had a moral purity, and their hearts were right with God.

17 Huì zhōng yǒu xǔduō rén shàng wèi zì jié , suǒyǐ Lìwèi rén wèi yīqiè bù jié zhī rén zǎi Yúyuèjié de yánggāo , shǐ tāmen zaì Yēhéhuá miànqián chéngwéi shèngjié .

18 Yǐfǎlián , Mǎnáxī , Yǐsàjiā , Xībùlún yǒu xǔduō rén shàng wèi zì jié , tāmen què yĕ chī Yúyuèjié de yánggāo , bù hé suǒ jìlù de dénglì . Xīxījiā wèi tāmen dǎogào shuō , fán zhuān xīn xúnqiú shén , jiù shì Yēhéhuá tā lièzǔ zhī shén de , suī bù zhào zhe shèng suǒ jiéjìng zhī lǐ zì jié , qiú zhì shàn de Yēhéhuá yĕ raóshù tā .

20 Yēhéhuá chuí tīng Xīxījiā de dǎogào , jiù raóshù ( yuánwén zuò yīzhì ) bǎixìng .

21 Zaì Yēlùsǎlĕng de Yǐsèliè rén dàdà xǐlè , shǒu Chújiàojié qī rì . Lìwèi rén hé jìsī yòng xiǎng liàng de yuè qì , rì rì sòngzàn Yēhéhuá .
