6 But to the sons of his concubines Abraham gave gifts, and while he was still living he 1sent them away from his son Isaac, eastward 2to the east country.
7 These are the days of the years of Abraham’s life, 175 years.
8 Abraham 3breathed his last and 4died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people.
9 Isaac and Ishmael 5his sons buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, east of Mamre,
10 the field 6that Abraham purchased from the Hittites. 7There Abraham was buried, with Sarah his wife.
11 After the death of Abraham, God blessed Isaac his son. And Isaac settled at 8Beer-lahai-roi.
12 These are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, 9whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s servant, bore to Abraham.
13 10These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, named in the order of their birth: 11Nebaioth, the firstborn of Ishmael; and 12Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
14 Mishma, Dumah, Massa,
15 Hadad, 13Tema, 14Jetur, 15Naphish, and Kedemah.
16 These are the sons of Ishmael and these are their names, by their villages and by their encampments, 16twelve princes according to their tribes.

INTRODUCTION TO GENESIS 25

This chapter contains an account of Abraham's marriage with another woman, and of the children he had by her and of their posterity Ge 25:1-4; of Abraham's disposal of his substance; and his sons, Ge 25:5,6; of the years of his life, his death and burial, Ge 25:7-11; of the children of Ishmael, and of the years of his life, and of his death, Ge 25:12-18; and of the sons of Isaac the fruit of prayer, and of the oracle concerning them before they were born, and of their temper and disposition, conduct and behaviour, Ge 25:19-34.
