The Temptation of Jesus

1Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness 2to be tempted by the devil.
And after fasting 3forty days and forty nights, he 4was hungry.
And 5the tempter came and said to him, ā€œIf you are 6the Son of God, command 7these stones to become loaves of bread. ā€
But he answered, 8ā€œIt is written, 9ā€œā€˜Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. ā€™ā€
