Jeremiah 32:26

Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah
This is an answer to the prophet's prayer, and particularly to the latter part of it; showing the consistency of the destruction of the city with his purchase of a field, and with God's promise of fields and vineyards being purchased and possessed again; and how each of these would be brought about: saying;
as follows:

24 Ecco, gli argini son giunti fino alla città, per prenderla; e la città è data in man de’ Caldei che la combattono, per cagion della spada, e della fame, e della pestilenza; e quello che tu hai detto è avvenuto; ed ecco, tu il vedi.

25 E pure, o Signore Iddio, tu mi hai detto: Comperati quel campo per danari, e prendine testimoni; avvegnachè la città sia data in man de’ Caldei.

26 Ma la parola del Signore fu indirizzata a Geremia, dicendo:

27 Ecco, io sono il Signore, l’Iddio d’ogni carne; emmi cosa alcuna difficile?

28 Perciò, il Signore ha detto così: Ecco, io do questa città in man de’ Caldei, e in man di Nebucadnesar, re di Babilonia; ed egli la prenderà.
