In that day1 their burden2 will be lifted from your shoulders, their yoke3 from your neck;4 the yoke5 will be broken because you have grown so fat.a

They enter Aiath; they pass through Migron;6 they store supplies7 at Micmash.8

They go over the pass, and say, "We will camp overnight at Geba.9" Ramah10 trembles; Gibeah11 of Saul flees.12

Cry out, O Daughter of Gallim!13 Listen, O Laishah! Poor Anathoth!14

Madmenah is in flight; the people of Gebim take cover.

This day they will halt at Nob;15 they will shake their fist16 at the mount of the Daughter of Zion,17 at the hill of Jerusalem.
33
See, the Lord, the LORD Almighty, will lop off18 the boughs with great power. The lofty trees will be felled,19 the tall20 ones will be brought low.21
34
He will cut down22 the forest thickets with an ax; Lebanon23 will fall before the Mighty One.24
