I took you from the ends of the earth,1 from its farthest corners I called2 you. I said, 'You are my servant';3 I have chosen4 you and have not rejected you.
So do not fear,5 for I am with you;6 do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen7 you and help8 you; I will uphold you9 with my righteous right hand.1011
"All who rage11 against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced;12 those who oppose13 you will be as nothing and perish.1412
Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them.15 Those who wage war against you will be as nothing16 at all.
For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand17 and says to you, Do not fear; I will help18 you.
Do not be afraid,19 O worm20 Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help21 you," declares the LORD, your Redeemer,22 the Holy One23 of Israel.
"See, I will make you into a threshing sledge,24 new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains25 and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff.2616
You will winnow27 them, the wind will pick them up, and a gale28 will blow them away.29 But you will rejoice30 in the LORD and glory31 in the Holy One32 of Israel.
"The poor and needy search for water,33 but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst.34 But I the LORD will answer35 them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake36 them.
I will make rivers flow37 on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert38 into pools of water,39 and the parched ground into springs.4019
I will put in the desert41 the cedar and the acacia,42 the myrtle and the olive. I will set pines43 in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress44 together,45
