1
And I,brethren, when I cametoyou, camenotwithexcellency of speechor of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.2For I determinednot to know any thingamongyou, saveJesusChrist, andhimcrucified .
3AndIwaswithyouinweakness,andinfear,andinmuchtrembling.4Andmyspeechandmypreaching was notwithenticingawords of man'swisdom, butindemonstration of the Spiritand of power:5Thatyourfaithshouldnotstandbin the wisdom of men, butin the power of God.6Howbeit we speakwisdomamong them that are perfect:yetnot the wisdom of thisworld, nor of the princes of thisworld, that come to nought :
7But we speak the wisdom of Godin a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, whichGodordainedbefore the worlduntoourglory:8Whichnone of the princes of thisworldknew : forhad they known it, theywouldnot have crucified the Lord of glory.9Butas it is written , Eyehathnotseen , norearheard , neitherhaveenteredinto the heart of man, the things whichGod hath prepared for them that lovehim.10ButGod hath revealed them unto usbyhisSpirit:for the Spiritsearcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.11Forwhatmanknoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of manwhich is inhim?evenso the things of Godknoweth no man,but the Spirit of God.12Nowwe have received , not the spirit of the world, but the spiritwhich is ofGod;that we might know the things that are freely given to usofGod.13
Which thingsalso we speak , notin the words which man'swisdomteacheth, but which the HolyGhostteacheth ; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.14But the naturalmanreceivethnot the things of the Spirit of God:for they arefoolishness unto him:neithercan he know them, because they are spirituallydiscerned .
15But he that is spiritualjudgethcallthings, yet he himself is judgedof no man.16Forwho hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instructhim?Butwehave the mind of Christ.
