1Butspeakthou the things whichbecomesounddoctrine:2
That the aged menbesober,agrave,temperate,sound in faith, in charity, in patience.3
The aged womenlikewise, that they be inbehaviour as becometh holiness,bnot false accusers,notgiven to muchwine, teachers of good things;4That they may teach the young women to besober ,c to love their husbands, to love their children,5
To be discreet,chaste, keepers at home,good,obedient to their ownhusbands,that the word of Godbenotblasphemed .
Young menlikewiseexhort to be sober minded .
7In all thingsshewingthyself a pattern of goodworks:indoctrine shewing uncorruptness,gravity,sincerity,8Soundspeech, that cannot be condemned;that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed , havingnoevilthing to sayofyou.9
Exhort servants to be obedient unto their ownmasters, and to please them wellinall things; not answering again ;
10Notpurloining , butshewingallgoodfidelity;that they may adorn the doctrine of GodourSaviourin all things.11For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to allmen,12Teachingusthat,denyingungodlinessandworldlylusts, we should livesoberly , righteously,andgodly,in this presentworld;13
Looking for that blessedhope,and the gloriousdappearing of the greatGodandourSaviourJesusChrist;14Whogavehimselfforus,that he might redeemusfromalliniquity,andpurify unto himself a peculiarpeople,zealous of goodworks.15
These thingsspeak , andexhort , andrebukewithallauthority.Let no mandespisethee.
