And 3the jailerreportedthesewords to Paul, saying, "The chiefmagistrates have sent to release you. Thereforecome out now and go4in peace."

But Paulsaid to them, "They have beaten us in publicwithouttrial, 5men who are Romans, and have thrown us into prison; and now are they sending us awaysecretly? Noindeed! But let them comethemselves and bring us out."
