For He did not subject to angelsa1the world to come, concerningwhich we are speaking.
But one has testified2somewhere, saying, "3WHAT IS MAN, THAT YOU REMEMBER HIM? OR THE SON OF MAN, THAT YOU ARE CONCERNEDABOUT HIM?
"4YOU HAVE MADE HIM bFOR A LITTLEWHILELOWERTHAN THE ANGELS; YOU HAVE CROWNED HIM WITH GLORY AND HONOR, cAND HAVE APPOINTED HIM OVER THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS;
85YOU HAVE PUTALLTHINGS IN SUBJECTIONUNDER HIS FEET." For in subjectingallthings to him, He leftnothing that is not subject to him. But now6we do not yetseeallthingssubjected to him.
But we do see Him who was 7madedfor a littlewhilelowerthan the angels, namely, Jesus, 8because of the suffering of death9crowned with glory and honor, so that 10by the grace of God He might 11tastedeath12for everyone.
For 13it was fitting for Him, 14for whom are allthings, and throughwhom are allthings, in bringingmanysons to glory, to 15perfect the e16author of their salvationthroughsufferings.
For both He who 17sanctifies and those who 18are fsanctified are all19from one Father; for whichreason He is not ashamed to call them 20brethren,
12saying, "21I WILL PROCLAIM YOUR NAME TO MY BRETHREN, IN THE MIDST OF THE CONGREGATION I WILL SING YOUR PRAISE."
And again, "22I WILL PUT MY TRUST IN HIM." And again, "23BEHOLD, I AND THE CHILDRENWHOMGOD HAS GIVEN ME."
14Therefore, since the childrenshare in g24flesh and blood, 25He Himselflikewisealsopartook of the same, that 26throughdeath He might renderpowerless27him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
and might free those who through 28fear of death were subject to slaveryall their lives.
