But, 1beloved, we are convinced of betterthingsconcerning you, and things that aaccompanysalvation, though we are speaking in thisway.
For 2God is not unjust so as to forget3your work and the lovewhich you have showntoward His name, in having 4ministered and in still ministering to the bsaints.
And we desire that eachone of you show the samediligencecso as to realize the 5fullassurance of 6hopeuntil the end,
12so that you will not be sluggish, but 7imitators of those who through8faith and patience9inherit the promises.
For 10when Godmade the promise to Abraham, since He couldswear by noonegreater, He 11swore by Himself,
14saying, "12I WILL SURELYBLESS YOU AND I WILL SURELYMULTIPLY YOU."
And so, 13having patientlywaited, he obtained the promise.
