When we slip up, encouragement keeps us committed to Jesus, and to never give up. To become usable once more, by focusing on God, knowing that giving into temptation isn’t worth it, and derails His best plans for us.

Jesus’ spiritual success against temptation was based on two never changing foundations to victorious Christian living. It’s knowing the scriptures of the Bible, and being filled with the Holy Spirit. It’s worshiping the Lord in both spirit and in truth.

Today, Pastor Jack tells us that Satan is not the only one who is capable of temptation. We, ourselves are not to tempt the Lord. To create a situation that force’s God’s hand to act. We tempt the Lord when we panic, and act like we don’t know Him. Satan is watching and looking for that moment, and we need to be ready.

The Bible breaks temptation down for us. Jesus had the victory over temptation through the strength of His Father. Jesus was able to resist the devil by keeping close to God, and by using the power of scripture to throw off Satan’s lies.
